We launched SEMPRIS in 2010 in response to requests by doctors involved in the treatment of professional sportspeople for an indemnity scheme that provided comprehensive protection against the unique risks they face every day.

At the time, the MPS and MDU had chosen to limit or withdraw cover for any damages, claimants’ costs and/or defence costs relating to a claim against doctors from employers, clubs, agents and sponsors.
Our members typically include orthopaedic consultants, SEM physicians, radiologists, cardiologists, rheumatologists and anaesthetists.
Today, SEMPRIS is acknowledged to be the ONLY indemnity scheme for doctors involved in or exposed to the treatment of professional sportspeople.
