July saw another exciting Tour de France with an overall win in the men’s race by Jonas Vingegaard, and Demi Vollering claiming the yellow jersey in the women’s.  As we write, we sadly note the passing at the age of 95 of ‘the Eagle of Toledo’, Federico Bahamontes, the first Spanish rider ever to win the event.

An enthralling Ashes saw a controversial dismissal to see Australia beat England at Lord’s in the second test, with English somewhat humour restored by a 2-2 result for the series.

The Women’s World Cup is providing its own moments of tension and excitement, with England through to the quarter finals and every chance of winning the Cup for the first time on 20th August.

Here is a summary of some of the research and articles you may have missed last month. If we may, in this edition we’d like to draw your attention to an important interview between Dele and Gary Neville, where the former talks about his experience of mental health and trauma👉The Overlap podcast Dele: “Now is the Time to Talk” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyDL9EUIdy0
