In this edition, we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the fact that levels of due diligence carried out by professional sporting organisations are evolving. This is resulting in higher levels of scrutiny around the suitability of professional indemnity insurance (also known as medical malpractice insurance) carried by the healthcare providers who are treating these organisations’ elite athletes.

It’s an area we frequently receive questions about, but while many insurance products and MDOs do not offer comprehensive protection for treating elite athletes, you can rest assured that your SEMPRIS policy provides you with the appropriate, claims-made third-party indemnity cover you need.

As SEMPRIS is recognised as the Gold Standard in medical indemnity for the field of professional sport, our members pass these evolving due diligence tests of the sports clubs with flying colours!
