Many of you will know that Health Partners Europe, a sister company of SEMPRIS, works extensively with elite sports clubs up and down the country – including over 95% of all professional footballers and cricketers in England and Wales, as well as amateur and semi-professional athletes from nearly 100 other sporting disciplines.
It is through this work that we are becoming increasingly aware of more expansive due diligence being undertaken by clubs before appointing doctors and other medical providers.
One of the concerns is the nature and level of indemnity cover that each appointee has in place – and where this is lacking, there have been instances of contract cancellations.
SEMPRIS is widely recognised as the gold standard when it comes to indemnity, so we are pleased to advise that our members should not experience any issues if their indemnity is checked as part of a wider due diligence process.
